Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, conferred the prestigious global Future Fit Seal upon three pioneering government initiatives during the inaugural day of the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2026 in Dubai. The awards recognize international government projects that demonstrate exceptional foresight, leveraging technology and innovation to preemptively address complex global challenges, celebrating a commitment to enhancing future readiness across crucial sectors.
The award ceremony, held on February 5, 2026, was attended by Her Excellency Ohood Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future and Vice-Chair of the World Governments Summit, alongside numerous global government leaders. This second cycle of the Global Future Fit Seal saw three winners selected from a field of over 1,500 submissions originating from more than 100 countries.
Recognizing Proactive and Data-Driven Governance
Minister Al Roumi emphasized that the global edition of the Future Fit Seal highlights proactive leadership, underscoring the UAE’s dedication to embedding future readiness as a key pillar of governance. She noted that the initiative aligns with the WGS’s mandate as a global hub for knowledge sharing and fostering future-focused solutions.
“The Seal focuses on innovative government models that deliver tangible impact at sectoral, national, and global levels,” Minister Al Roumi stated. Projects are rigorously evaluated based on clear, data-driven outcomes across six priority sectors: the new economy, advanced technology, sustainability, Fourth Industrial Revolution applications, food and water security, and quality of life.
International Projects Driving Next-Generation Solutions
The three distinguished projects recognized for their future-focused strategies and measurable results are:

Diella, Minister of Artificial Intelligence (Albania)
Diella stands as the world’s first AI-powered minister, revolutionizing government operations. This groundbreaking model applies AI to support decision-making processes in areas like tendering, financial analysis, and regulatory review. This integration signifies a strategic adoption of AI-enabled governance, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and national competitiveness.
Busan Port (Republic of Korea)
This initiative transformed Busan Port into a fully automated, smart logistics hub. The project utilized a blend of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, big-data logistics systems, and blockchain-based documentation. Crucially, the deployment of a Digital Twin Logistics platform boosted operational efficiency across maritime and land networks, resulting in increased productivity and cost reduction.
National Precision Medicine Programme (Singapore)
Singapore’s wide-reaching program integrates genomic, clinical, lifestyle, and environmental data to advance medical science. By facilitating early disease detection, targeted treatments, and preventive healthcare strategies, the initiative—which includes large-scale genome sequencing across diverse population groups—has positioned Singapore as a global leader in data-driven medical research and precision health.
The Future Fit Mandate
Initially a national symbol in the UAE designed to recognize proactive federal and local government projects that enhance national readiness, the Global Future Fit Seal expanded its scope in 2025 to honor international excellence. It seeks projects that demonstrate exceptional foresight, investing in future skills and leveraging advanced technologies for tangible results. The ongoing commitment to recognizing these bold, practical visions underscores the essential role of government innovation in navigating an increasingly complex global landscape.
