Dubai Police Hit 99.9% Daytime Safety Score, Redefining Urban Security Standards

Dubai Police have achieved an unprecedented 99.9 percent score on the daytime safety perception index for 2025, part of a nationwide Security Quality of Life Survey conducted by the Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre in partnership with the Ministry of Interior. The result places Dubai among the world’s safest cities and underscores the emirate’s aggressive push toward proactive, data-driven policing.

The daytime safety score is one of three pillars in the broader Security Quality of Life Index, where Dubai Police recorded an overall 98.2 percent rating. The other two indicators—feeling safe while walking at night (98.7 percent) and public confidence in police stations (96.2 percent)—also reflect strong institutional trust.

Seven Key Performance Areas Drive the Results

Brigadier Saeed Abdullah bin Tuwair Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, credited the force’s operational and administrative sectors for the integrated performance. Dubai Police reported progress across seven strategic areas: security quality of life, institutional excellence, smart security and response systems, digital services, future readiness and innovation, talent attraction and recruitment, and contact centre performance.

On the digital front, the force achieved a 97.7 percent digital adoption rate for transactions, processing more than 218 million digital transactions in 2025. Customer satisfaction with digital channels reached 96.9 percent. In the Future Readiness and Innovation Index, Dubai Police posted a 93.3 percent score, signalling strong institutional innovation and a shift toward a knowledge-based economy.

Operationally, the force handled 6.9 million emergency and non-emergency calls in 2025, demonstrating rapid response capabilities. It also collected 51 awards during the period, including 12 international honours, reinforcing its global standing.

Brand Value and Global Recognition

In a separate global ranking by Brand Finance, Dubai Police earned the highest possible AAA+ brand strength rating, scoring 9.2 out of 10. The assessment surveyed more than 8,000 stakeholders across ten countries and highlighted the force’s ethics, operational effectiveness, transparency, and innovation. The report estimated that Dubai Police contributed AED57.9 billion ($15.8 billion) to the UAE’s national brand value, bolstering the country’s soft power.

His Excellency Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, attributed the achievements to “continuous support of the UAE leadership, the Dubai Government, and the Ministry of Interior,” as well as the dedication of the force’s personnel. “Their commitment to excellence, innovation and best practice continues to drive the organisation’s success,” he said.

Broader Implications for Urban Safety

Dubai Police’s results offer a blueprint for other cities seeking to integrate technology, community trust, and institutional excellence into public safety. The force’s emphasis on proactive policing—rather than reactive enforcement—has shifted public perception from fear to confidence. As urban populations grow worldwide, Dubai’s model of combining high digital adoption with human-centric service could become a reference point for metropolitan law enforcement.

For residents and visitors, the data translates into a tangible sense of security: a place where daytime streets are perceived as nearly risk-free, and nighttime walks feel just as safe. The force’s next steps will likely focus on maintaining these metrics while expanding smart policing tools—such as AI-driven response systems and predictive analytics—to keep ahead of emerging threats.
